Me, myself and I |
Whenever I have a few weeks to spare (which happens
less
and less these days), I like to travel. My last trips
took me to
China, to Israel and Jordan, as well as to Burkina Faso
in Central Africa.
I also am a hardcore movie addict, this not only drives
me to
visit at least one film festival per year (usually the
one at
Locarno), but also makes me one of the most cherished
customers of Zurich's cinemas. Wim Wenders, Ken Loach,
David Lynch, Mike Leigh, Wong Kar-wai and Ang Lee are
some of my favourite directors.
I do read a book from time to time. From authors
like
Julio Cortázar, Carlos Fuentes, Gabriel García
Márquez,
Yasunari Kawabata and Banana Yoshimoto.
When I need money, I work as a programmer. I am
specialized in Computer Telephony applications on DOS,
Windows 95 and NT platforms. My favourite programming
language is C++, but I also know how to make things happen
in Java, Pascal, Modula 2, Basic and Prolog.
In spite of these (and many more) activities and in spite
of
my extended studies at the University
of Zurich I always find
time to cook a good meal for a friend at our huge (133m2)
apartment in the centre of Zurich City.
